Minor & Major Car Service

‘How often should I service my car?’ is a question we often get asked.

You probably know you should get your car serviced. But is it really necessary to get it done? Is it just a money making exercise for mechanics? you might ask.
And it’s a reasonable question. Especially if you don’t know why you’re paying for something you don’t think you really need...

Five reasons to get your car serviced

It’s important to keep up with the recommended servicing for many reasons. Here are five:

  1. To keep your car performing well and on the road longer
  2. For peace of mind that you and your passengers are safe on the road
  3. To get the most value for your car when it’s time to sell
  4. To keep your new car warranty valid
  5. To pick up and fix any minor issues before they escalate into major, expensive problems.

How often does my car need to be serviced?

Your manufacturer logbook specifies when a service is due. And what should be done at each service. However some vehicles require servicing more regularly, such as if you’re towing a caravan, or start and stop a lot in city traffic.

We’ll make sure we attend to every item in your logbook - and stamp it as an authorised mechanic. So if you ever need to, this will help you claim for repairs under your new car warranty.
